We made a cooperative research effort on historical sources for two years, titled"Research on the Sources for Study of South-East Asia and South Asia".
YAMAMOTO,Tatsuro,Head Investigator,researched historical sources of Vietnam. ISHII,Yoneo,Co-Investigator,researched historical sources of Thailand,especially the relations between Muslims and Thai religion.
IKEHATA,Setsuho,Co-investigator,researched sources of the Philippines and made clear the problems faced by Chinese society in the Philippines under the Japanese military administration.
HARA,Minoru,Co-Investigator,researched sources on ancient Indian literature and examined a way of producing a critical edition of Sanskrit text. YAMAZAKI,Gen-ichi,Co-Investigator,researched historical sources of ancient India.
ARA,Matsuo,Co-Investigator,researched historical sources of medieval India and examined material sources on archaeological sites. ONA,Yasuyuki, Co-Investigator,researched historical sources on Mughal India,especially European sources of the East India Companies.
