Research Abstract |
1.Review:Theoretical and empirical studies about cognitive processes under children's social behavior were reviewed. Dodge's "Social Information Processing Model" and its related studies were reviewed in detail. 2.Experimental Studies:First, several video stimuli that assessing children's social information processing were made.Second,aggressive,victim,and nonaggressive children's social skills and social information processing skills in social conflict situation were assessed longitudinally.It was found that these children's behavioral and information processing were stable.Correlational analysis of longitudinal data showed significant correlation between social information processing measures and social skill measures,and peer nomination measures. 3.Theoretical examination: The result of previous research review and the results of these experimental studies were integrated theoretical model of social information processing.It emphasized not only social information processing steps but also social metacognition and emotional regulation for social behavior. 4.Research report:These studies were reported in final report paper.
