量子サイズの固定化金属酸化物上での高効率な光触媒反応とそのダイナミクス

Research Abstract

本課題では、触媒表面のモデルと考えられ、また、反応に対し量子化サイズ効果が期待できる量子サイズの固定化金属酸化物触媒を調製し、その上での高効率な光触媒反応の誘起とそれら光触媒反応のダイナミックスに関しての研究を実施した。
量子サイズの固定化酸化チタン触媒を調製し、そのホトルミネッセンス挙動を調べることにより、触媒の励起状態が(Ti^<3+>-O^-)種として理解できることを明らかにした。二酸化炭素と水の存在下で固定化酸化チタン触媒を光照射するとメタン、メタノール、および一酸化炭素が生成できること(人工光合成型光触媒反応)を初めて見いだすとともに、反応収率に及ぼす反応温度や添加した水量の影響を検討し、反応の最適条件を明らかにした。また、担体をY-ゼオライトにするとメタノールの選択的な合成が可能になることを見いだした。二酸化炭素や水の存在下でのホトルミネッセンスのダイナミクスを検討し、触媒の励起種(Ti^<3+>-O^-)がこれらと直接反応し、炭素ラジカルや水素および水酸基ラジカルを生成し反応が進行する機構を提案した。
ZSM-5ゼオライト固定化銅イオン(Cu^<2+>)試料を還元し、量子サイズのCu^+/ZSM-5触媒を調製し、これを光触媒として常温でNOxを窒素と酸素へ直接分解できることを見いだした。Cu^+イオンの励起状態からのホトルミネッセンス挙動をNO存在下で検討し、NOx光触媒分解反応の機構を明らかにした。 以上、本研究では、当初の研究目標が達成でき充分な研究成果を上げることができた。
