Research Abstract |
Present study reveals that organogenesis of bovine ruminal papaillae and palatine ridge, both of which are developed under the controle of the epithelial-mesenchymal interaction, may be regulated by some new type proteoglycan (PGs) molecules. Since these PGs expressed spatially and temporally during the specific developmental periods of the bovine ruminal papaillae and palatine ridge (in preparation of submission). Cell-adhesion molecules such as integlin and cytoskeleton molecule such as cytokeratines are also examined for the signalin peptides or the functional markers of the developmental epithelial cells (in preparetion of submission). We specially focased on beta_1, alpha_3, alpha_4, alpha_5, alpha_v integline subunits which are known to contact with the "RGD" sequences in the cell-adhesion site of the fibronectine molecule. Our results showed that beta_1 integline subunit was most intensely related with the organogenetic process of bovine ruminal papaillae and palatine ridge, and alpha_3 and alpha_5 subunits were slightly. It was also revealed that the expressions of some cytokeratine molecules might be correlated with the epithelial differentiation of these developmental systems. Further morre valuable results may be expected for the molecular biological studies, if there would be more times and any grant-in-aid.
