Research Abstract |
In this study, we build a parking policy simulation model, a model combination of parking performance model, disaggregate travel model and parking demand allocation model. The model is useful when city government makes a parking master plan. In 1992, based on Kashiwa city database, parking performance model, disaggregate travel model and parking demand allocation model are estimated and integrated. Especially parking duration time is incorporated into model structure. In 1993, we apply our parking policy simulation model to the parking policy analysis, such as the introduction of parking guidance and information system and parking fare structure change. Model analysis indicates both of them are quite effective to improve parking situation.
