Research Abstract |
1.The flow fields of supersonic axisymmetric jets impinging on an inclined flat plate were experimentally studied, and the effects of location of shock cells on the flow state, the pressure distributions on the plate and the force added by the jet were presented. 2.The three-dimensional axisymmetric and the two-dimensional supersonic freejets were analyzed numerically with the TVD method over a wide range of pressure ratios from 20 to 150.The results were summarized to enable the estimation of the shape of a freejet. 3.The structures of coupled flow state of supersonic free jets interacting with inclined angles from two supersonic nozzles were studied experimentally and the flow pattems were clarified. 4.The diagnostic system based on the inline laser-holography was contracted to clarify the process of gas atomization, and it was shown that this method is effective to determine the size and location of droplets. The accuracy of this method was also discussed and clarified. 5.The atomization process of molten metal by supersonic jets in the gas atomization method were observed by the diagnostic system developed in the present research project. The relations between the jet cell structures and the power size distributions generated by the gas atomization were clarified.
