Research Abstract |
In the analysis of system reliability and safety, it is important to include not only system hardware but also men who are with the system. The objective of this research is to construct a reliability and safety analysis support system for man-machine systems. The main research results obtained are as follows : 1. Research surveys are conducted on the state of arts of the human error analysis and evaluation methodology and the reliability and safety analysis support system for man-machine systems. 2. Modelling and qualitative and quantitative analysis methods of reliability and safety for man-machine systems are proposed and developed by use of both simple and colored petri-net ideas and techniques, and then a prototype system of reliability and safety analysis support system for man-machine systems is installed on a personal computer. 3. A probabilistic analysis and probabilistic models are developed of safety management schemes that should be used upon an alarm in a large-complex system under supervisory control configuration. 4. Feasibility and applicability study of the developed reliability and safety analysis support system is made especially on the control and operation of a pumping station.
