Research Abstract |
The aim of this project is to construct a full-text database of savia scriptures not yet publishid. The following manuscripts are inputted as machine readable texts : Kamikoaagama, Dvisatikalottara-agama, Sarvajnanottara-agama, Kirana-agama-tika, and chapters concerning diksa of Picumata-tantra and Juanaratnavali. A spell checking program is developped for the correction of Sanskrit texts, though its dictionary is not yet sufficient for the practical use. Meter analysis programs using a exhaustive meter dictionary are developped. These are primarily for the correction of inputted texts, though they have enough flexibility to analyze various metrical patterns and will be useful for chronological analysis of texts from the metrical point of view. These data and tools will become accessible via Internet when the University Network of the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies will be connected to Internet within a few months.
