Research Abstract |
This research intends to elucidate the characteristics and problems of contemporary business strategy through integration of the social responsibility oriented strategy and the competitive market oriented strategy. This integration is attempted both by developing the concept of the total responsibility and by recognizing the significance of the business performance goal ( "Betriebsertrag" goal). In 1992 term the survey of past research results in the fields of business social responsibility and business strategy were made. Also, theoretical investigation was tried as to the possibility of integration of social responsibility oriented strategy and competitive market oriented strategy. That is, recent theories of business social responsibility-which stress the business ethics as the value premise of business behavior-were investigated. philanthropy and environmental problem. The symbiosis problem which results from the globalization of the growth of business enterprise were picked up and the necessity of modification of growth strategy and market competition strategy of Japan business was presented. In 1993 term, founding on the reseach results of 1992 term, active theoretical investigation of these results was attempted. Especially international symbiosis of Japan business was considered in terms of the closed nature of that business. Business ethics and its contemporary significance and problem were considered. Thus through above research results, the purpose of this research, that is, the elucidation of integration of the market oriented strategy and the social responsibility oriented strategy seems to be attained to some extent. Some of research results were made public through the reporting at the meetings of academic society, public lecture of university, Journals and books.
