Research Abstract |
(1) Study on Planting system for Capsule by Robot The basic experiment of planting system on capsule seeds using a small robot carried on for useful in planning factory. In this time, Jelly balls as imitation seeds of capsule seeds were used. The elements of a performance for picking seeds were resulted as follows ; a rubber model of a half spherical surface on a nozzle type, a slide system on nozzle holder type, a funnnel shaped on hopper shape and vibration type on a hopper. (2) Development Reseach of Precision Planter by Using computer controlled Technology The goal of this reseach was to establish a new precision planting methodology for realizing the mechanization of planting operations in agricultural and biological production and to response the marketing needs of agricultural products in quality, ruality and high production efficiency. In The research, we developed and tested a precision planter system using computer control and electronic technique for mulching cultivation in agri

cultural and biological productions. The planter system mounted on a tractor could perform multi-purpose operations including soil tilling, seed bed preparing, plastic mulch film laying, seed planting and seed pressing etc., automatically. The key point of the system is the two row precision planting mechanisms, which consisting of a micro computer, four optical fiber sensors and control actuators of a solenoid controlled shutter opening mechanism and a stepping motor driven a seed metering device. The planting mechanism could plant a seed into the center of a plastic film through the detections of film hole position and seed metering existence on the shutter according to the different planting speed. The planting timing of the shutter opening mechanism were analyzed and tested through theoretical and graphical analysis by computer programs and video camera motion analyzer. The results of indoor preliminary tests shown a satisfied characteristics with the sufficient accuracy of a seed into the center of a film hole with a variety of planting speeds. The gravity point positions in a film hole of a seed planted by the system just were within the area error +-5 mm of the hole center when the hole diameter was 40 mm. Less
