Research Abstract |
1.Research on hippocampal kindling (1) We recorded the dynamic changes of field evoked potentials of dentate gyrus triggered by perforant pathway during the 2Hz-kindling stimulation. Our result showed that the collapse of paired-pulse depression, which should show the local inhibitory volley around the stimulating site, occurred after the appearance of epileptic afterdischarge. (2) GABA-B antagonist and NMDA antagonists caused the elevation of seizure threshold more preferentially than the reduction of AD.K^+opener and AMPA antagonist showed the opposite spectrum of antiepileptic action. 2.Research on spontaneously active dopamine cells (1) Fluoxetine, a serotonin-uptake inhibitor, increased the number of dopamine cells. PCPA,which depletes the content of serotonin of the brain, decreased it. (2) Neurotesin antagonist and Neurokinin antagonist both decreased the number of dopamine cells. (3) Lewis rats showed less number of dopamine cells, more bursting pattern of dopamine cells and more increased susceptibility of dopamine reseptors, compared with Fisher rats.
