Research Abstract |
Chemosensitivity test is very useful method to detect the efficacy of chemotherapy for the patient with malignant bone and soft tissue tumor. In addition to the basical study of harvesting of tumor cells, study about histological findings and ploidy pattern with flowcytometry was performed. We reported correlation between the results and prognosis at the meeting of the Japan Orthopaedic Association. We analyzed antitumor effects of methotrexate, adriamycin, ifosfamide and methylglyoxal bis (cyclopentylamidinohydrazone) with osteosarcoma cell lines. The results that there were additional effects of general antitumor drug and metgylhlyoxal bis (cyclopentylamidinohydrazone) with different pharmacokinetics were reported. Now we have the results about analysis of effect to cell cycle by the method of using 5-Bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU), fluorescein isothiocyanate labeled anti-BrdU monoclonal antibody and propidium iodide with flowcytometry. It will be reported qt the meeting of the Japan Orthopaedic Association.
