Research Abstract |
The results from 1992 to 1993 are summaried as follows : (1) Magnetic field line tracing by pellet injection. We investigate the temporal response of the ablated particles at the plasma inside, scrape-off layr, and divertor plates. (a) A comparison between the particle traveling and the field line tracing shows a good agreement. (b) Estimated connection length for divertor field lines is - 10m, which is deduced from the delay time measurement. (c) For the particular position, a response is so quick to suggest the stochasiticity near the edge. (d) Global confinement properties affect the propagation of the pulsed density. (2) Density waves by an internal disruption (a) Pulsed density waves are created around the rational surfaces and propagate as an m=0/n=0 mode. (b) They reached to the divertor in a delayd time for density waves to diffuse out from the rational surface to the edge. (c) For particular positions a response is so quick to suggest the stochasiticity near the edge.
