Research Abstract

In part one, we tried to analyze 419 cases from the Child Guidance Centers. The main assailants are fater 29%, stepfather 13%, mother 46%, and stepmother 6%, namely, 95%, of all assailants were so called "parents". Concerning the existence of those assailants experiences as the victims of asbuse, unknown were 63.5%. But 42.5% of people who answered clearly admitted the experiences.
In part two, we investigated the frequency of abuse or behavior similar to abuse of mothers who have infants of 3 and under 3 years of age.
Including "rarely" and "occasionally", which mean quite small numbers of abuse, 95% of them have experiences of about four kinds of abuse (or behavior similar to abuse) on the average. However, limited to mothers who answered that they "often" or "sometimes" abuse their children, mothers who have experiences of more than one kind of abuse are about half of the whole mothers.
The causes of their abuse are mainly the actions of children who are rather aggressive or choleric, in other words, troublesome, but the lack of composure and stress of mothers are also the causes of child abuse. This tendency is more obvious on the part of mothers who abuse heavily.
We also recognized that mothers, who grew up, cherished by their parentshave less experience of abuse, but on the other hand, mothers who grew up, neglected or discriminated by their parents have more experience of abuse to thier own children.
The results of these investigations into so called "The victims turn into assailants." can be highly estimated.
Based on these actual circumtances, we were able to suggest from each specialized field prevetive measures agaist child abuse and relief measures of the abused.
