Research Abstract |
This study was conducted to complete this three-years project. Elemental materials and processes based on photochemical reactions were explored and realized (1) to modify fabricated devices to provide a desired biocompatibility at a given portion of devices and (2) to provide surface functionalities of microprocessed biosensors. These UV-and pulsed UV-based microprocess surface technologies would serve as fundamental research processing for advanced artificial organs and micromachines.
