Research Abstract |
1) A hydrologic model, which represents water flow of rivers, ground water recharge and discharge from springs in KITANASU alluvial fan, was developed, 2) The methods and utilization of agricultural Products using for food processing as Tsukemono, a traditional form of keepable food, were investigated in Tochigi Pref. as well as other places in Japan, 3) Three types of farmyard manure utilization, i.e. individual reuse type, inter-farm reuse type and commercialization, were studied to identify the advantages and disadvantages from the view point of environmental impacts, 4) The effects of farmyard manure on the fertility of upland soil were surveyed and evaluated by chemical analysis, 5) The methods of farmyard manure utilization in paddy field were examined in the experimental fields of Utsunomiya University, 6) The status of non-used renewal forestry resources were analyzed and the possibility of utilization was discussed, 7) Two kinds of data, i.e. a data base for renewal resources and a data base for natural disaster in KITANASU region, were developed, and 8) An action plan, by which economical activation in rural areas will be materialized, was proposed for KITANASU region.
