Research Abstract |
(1) It is generally believed that state-textbooks had been used from april in 1904 throughout Japan all at the same time. But, in Gifu prefecture the completion of changing to state-textbooks was in 1906. In this research were clarified concrete disposals by local educational administrators such as treatments of authorised textbooks, introduction of state-textbooks and the progress measure in the transitional stage and then clarified local point of view about state-textbooks. (2) The movements of studying state-textbooks promoted by local educational associations in Gifu prefecture became clear. Preparations for using state-textbooks were worked on in the unit of local educational association. Manuals for new state-textbooks were made by local leading teachers. These Process and actual conditions in each areas and their characteristics became clear. (3) By examining school diaries and records of giving practical lessons, I tried classifying about frequency, form and content of practical lessons and their criticizing meetings in school scene, according to subjects. (4) By examining educator's diaries, the conditions of holding meetings to study textbooks in Taishou period and the influences of New Educational Movement became clear. (5) By examining THE MAGAZINE AICHI KYOUIKU from the first period to the second period of State-Textbook, articles and opinions about state-textbooks were noted down on cards. (6) The details of holding teachers'study-meetings in the elementary school attached to Normal School and the content of teachers'workshops held by Aichi Educational Association became clear. (7) The teaching staffs of Normal School playd an active part in making model of giving various lessons. Their influences in the prefecture were very strong. Such historical details become clear.
