Research Abstract |
Usefulness of elctrical monitoring of a skeletal muscle for cardiac assist was studied. 1) Elements of evoked potential were analyzed. Electromyography was made of both nerve and muscle evoked potentials. Latency of the two elements were cleared, and electrical information for skeletal muscle monitoring was obtained. 2) Relationship between parameters of the electromyography and muscle fatigue was analyzed. 3) Electrically conditioned skeletal muscle for cardiac assist demonstrated different pattern of electromyography from non-conditioned skeletal muscle. 4) Non-invasive monitoring of the skeletal muscle transformation from fatiguable into fatigue resistant was suggested to be fesible.
