Research Abstract |
To evaluate the efficiency of color doppler uetrasonography as the predictor of malignant ovarian tumors and to compare the results with serum manganses superoxide dismutase (Mn-SOD) levels for predicting ovarian malignancy. There were a signifocant difference in pulsatility index (PI) value of ovarian vessel between benign and malignant tumors. The specificity of morphorogic findings and CA125 was lower than that of P1 measurement, but sensitivty was not different among the three methods. In addition, serum Mn-SOD level measurements showed high diagnostic value in malignant ovarian tumor patients. PI measurements by tranvaginal color doppler ultrasound combined with Mn-SOD levels could be an accurate and appropriate screaning method for ovarian tumors.
