Research Abstract |
In this study, 151 kinds of detin primers : A-primer (60wt% hydroxyethyl methacrylate・40wt% distillled water), 50 kinds of B-primers (50 kinds of 0.5mole% amino acids were added in A-primer. respectively), 50 kinds of C-primers (10wt% pynomellitic dianhydride dimethacrylate was added in 50 kinds of B-primers respectively) and 50 kinds of D-primers (10wt% 4-acryloxyethyl trimellitic acid was added in 50 kinds of B-primers respectively), and 2 kinds of trial dentinal bonding agents were prepared. SEM observations, Infrared spectrometry and shearing adhesive test of detinusing A-, B-, C- and D-primers and trial and commercial bonding agents were examined, and the following results were obtained. 1. In SEM observations and IR spectra of dentin surfaces treated with151 kinds of primers respectively, their surfaces were found dentinal tubules with smear-capping and exposed peritubular dentins, and all treatments were not occured demineralization and denaturation inorganic components in dentin. 2. As for adhesive strength of detin using A-, B- and C-primers a trial dentinal bonding agent (containing 10% pynomellitic dianhydride dimethacrylate), A-, B- and C-primers had 2.5,2.5-6.0 and 6.4-10.8 MPa respectively. On the other hand, in cases of using C-primers and a commercial bonding agent, and D-primers and a new bonding agent. C- and D-primers had 10.3-13.6 and 9.5-30.2MPa respectively. 3. In cases of using D-primers and a new dentinal bondig agent, this adhesive mechanism was found that their adhesive interfaces had formed the layrs of dentin-resin adhesive interfaces consisting microtags with high affinity, their results were obtained values of high strength on dentinal adhesion.
