Research Abstract |
What this study made clear are classified into four facts. The first is that we could frequently observe slippinge and friction arround the patiants who were liable to have pressure sores, especially, arround all must live their lives in the wheelchairs and the bed. We proved that slippinge and friction was born at any head elevation when the Gatch-Beds were set. The second is that it was shoulder blade region where slippings and friction were most frequently born. To reduce slippings and friction, legs elevation must be changed according to head elevation. The third is that a film sheet and an interface pressure measuring equiment are useful as the measuring instruments of slippinge and friction. These instruments are so simple and easy to use that it can be used practically. The fourth is that prevention of slippinge and friction-conscious of nurses was lower than prevention of other risk factor-conscious when they tried prevent pressure sores.
