Research Abstract |
Although our laboratory works are still in progress, we found many new micropaleontological evidence. 1)We recovered Early Cretaceous, Valanginian radiolarian faunas from the Kolbano Complex which occupies the southernmost part of West Timor. This radiolarian fauna has never been reported from the Tethyan regions and may be equivalent with that of the "Non-Tethyan" type recently reported from off north west of Australia. 2)We also discriminated well-presrved Triassic conodont and radiolarian faunas from limestone allochthonous in the Kekneno area. These faunas may offer the significant data for the discussion of the biostratigraphy and paleobiogeography in Early Mesozoic time.
