Research Abstract |
At the beginning we designed our research on Far-Eastern Russia as the following ; The first part of it was a successive research to last years' one about workers' attitude to their work and their colleague by questionaire method. The second part was a new social research on the result of voucher-using-privatization of firm's property. And the third part was a research to know what is the real role of investment funds in contemporary Russia. The first and second parts of our research program were performed satisfactory. We got answers of workers to questionaire in the same factory and works (Energomash, Remmash and Vostok) where our research performed last year. Although the size of sample number (385) declined a little bit comparing to last year (698), we have now had important materials for time series analysis. We succeeded to see a changing process in social inclinations of Russian workers through the privatization process. Concerning the second part we had also gotten by ourselves primary materials showing how people in Khabarovsk had used vouchers delivered to them. Persons whom our researcher interviewed were sellected from poll books by random sampling method. We could collect answers from 750 persons. Analyzing answers we can find how did people in Khabarovsk uses vouchers and what a differenciation in behavior does exist among different social status of people. Basic materials we had gotten in the first and second parts of our research have already been released for academic circle in the five bands report edited by Shigeo Aramata, Hokkaido University. The third part of the research is still on the midway to the end. However we attained very important fact-findings in our case study on investment funds. These show us that invesment funds may take a role in the change of a kind of employees' ownership to the pure private ownership, helping individual entrepreneurs for their own purpose.
