By using high intensity muon beam available at TRIUMF,the following achievements have been obtained in the experimental researches on basic muon science.
1) Negative muon spin longitudinal relaxation under zero field at oxygen sites of LaSrCuO high T_c superconductors was measured for the first time.
There, the interaction of paramagnetic electrons at (mu^-O) sites with supercurrents was successfully detected. Also, theoretical cluster calculations have been done for this system, clarifying the possible location of (mu^-O) sites being around the apical oxygen.
2) The interaction of eV (dmu) with solid D_2 layr was studied by measuring 3 MeV protons from muon catalyzed ddmu fusion which occur only after slowing-down of (dmu). The results indicate importance of molecular effect in elastic scattering cross section of the (dmu) with d.
All of these results plus some other were realized by utilizing the world-best dc muon sources available at Japan-Canada superconducting muon channel.
