Research Abstract

固体表面に吸着した吸着種の光反応を吸着種を直接ながら行う実験が本考案の目的である。本年度は次の2つの実験を行った。
1)MoOx蒸着膜表面での光反応を高分解能電子線エネルギー損失分光法((HREELS)を用いて調べる。
2)金属表面にPseudo Molecule(擬分子)あるいはQuasi Compound生成させその熱反応と光反応を走査トンネル顕微鏡(STM)を使ってアトムレベルで明らかにする。
1)については衝突散乱機構による電子線エネルギー損失を測定できればHREELS法は単結晶の表面以外にも応用できるはずであるがこのような試みは非常に少ない。我々はMoOx蒸着膜表面を用いてこの実験を試み高感度でCHx吸着種を検出できることを示し、CD_3OD,CH_2I_2を吸着させた表面の光反応を行い光により生成する脱離分子を質量分析計で測定すると同時に、表面での吸着種の消失をHREELSスペクトルで調べた。
2)についてはCu(110),Ag(110),Ni(110)等の表面で疑似化合物の生成と配列をアトムスケールで捉えることに成功し、その熱反応をアトムスケールで明らかにできるところまできた。
