Research Abstract

この研究の目的は,原子よりも構造的に複雑な分子をベースとして作られる低次元性有機導体において,電流の担い手となる低次元電子系の構造とダイナミクスを解明することである。具体的には,BEDT-TTF 分子,TMTSF 分子およびDCNQI 分子などを母体とする2次元・1次元性導体を対象とし,磁場誘起スピン密度波などの反強磁性相,電子系の"重く"なった状態など,電子相関と低次元性の絡み合った電子状態の本質の解明をおこなった。
本年度は,まずBEDT-TTF分子を母体とする有機超伝導体の性質について,低温比熱の測定によっても超伝導の対称性がd波型と考えられることを明らかにした。また超伝導相と隣接する電子相がモット絶縁体状態であることを確かめ,そこにおける磁性状態が,外部磁場の変化に対して非常に遅い応答を示すことを発見した。これは構造変化が絡んでいる可能性を示唆するもので,この遅い応答の起因の解明は今後の課題である。
TMTSF分子を母体とする1次元性導体では,スピン密度波状態のさなかにさらにサブ構造がある可能性を追求した結果,スピン密度波のダイナミクスや磁性,あるいは熱励起された1粒子伝導の観点からも,サブ構造があることがかなり確実になった。磁場誘起スピン密度波状態では,TMTSF類似の(DMET-TSeF)_2AuI_2においてホール抵抗が標準理論の1/10程度でしかなく,また符号が反転するいわゆるリボ-相も存在することを発見した。今後この物質系の電子状態をさらに究明する必要がある。
DCNQ1系物質についは,(DMeDCNQI)_2Cuの金属-絶縁体転移に関して,詳細な熱測定により,この間に作り上げてきたモデルの正当性を確実にした。また新規物質として,よう素を含む(DI-DCNQI)_2Agなどの性質を調べ,温度・圧相図を明らかにするとともに,電荷秩序相を発見するなど,今後の精密な理解にむけて準備段階を終えた。
