Research Abstract

This research was carried out on 3 major items.
1) Practical apploach of New Scholastic Ability utilizing electronic information and information devices
Research group on Practical apploach of New Scholastic Ability created classroom activity plan and tried out using electronic information and information devices. 26 experienced teachers joined this project.
Many Teaching and learning activities in 5 subjects in elementary school (Japanese Language and Literiture, Social Science, Caliculus, Science, Music) and Foreign Language in lower secondary school were designed and tried out in two years. Almost all classroom activities were included in Progressive Report (1995) and Final Report (1996).
2) Research on measurement and analysis of New Scholastic Ability classroom activity
How we could say that the designed activity became a New Scholastic Ability activity? The methodologies and analitical methods were serveyed and classified. In this research, we diveded all methodologies into 3 * 3 Matr … More ix.
They are evaluating persons (teacher, student, observer) and objects (teature, student, group of students).
A teature can easily find a kind of information do ought to measure in each cell and carry out 3*3 matrix classification.
Furthermore, for promoting the evaluation of teaching and learning activities, we investigated the methods of the measurement evaluation that is carried out at present.

3) Research regarding crossing target/overall study
Although it is the thought that was sent with the first report of the 15th period Central Council for Education, it was not evident. In this research, we designed and materialized this kind of activities. We developed 12 large theme (project) starting in social science, which were suitable in a elementary school. For example, "Pet Bottle Project" and "Personal Debate, Pair Debate, Team Debate" were planed and tried out using erectronic information and information devices. They were quite successful.
The activities develoed to many pursuit activities and expression-presentation activities. Less
