Research Abstract |
The purpose of this research are to clarify potential and risks of multimedia communication, especially communication using Internet, and develop some learning environment using multimedia communication technology. The research may be divided into three sections. First of all, We reviewed Educational Application of the Internet in United States and Japan. Concerning status of Japan, We made a questionnaire to 100 schools connected to the Internet, and examine the problems of the introduction of the technology. Secondly, We make a long term research about how communication by E-mail affect Children and Teachers of a Japanese Elementary School. We find that few children are automatically come to use electronic mail, And various factors are observed. Thirdly, We make a developmental study about application of wireless LAN system. US government is now planning the Information Infrastructure using 5GHz wireless LAN.Those strongly influence educational use of the Internet. So we development test system of the Wireless LAN TV Conference system, and evaluate that system.
