Research Abstract |
Private technical two-year colleges have to secure a certain number of students from the Management point of view. Therefore those incoming students' mathematics background are veried. Reforming mathematics curriculum need to be concerned and computers provide opportunities for its users including both teacheres and students to make knowledge, to gain access to knowledge, and to share knowledge with one another that are not possible before. Our project consider system environment and minimum requirements for interactive math CAI systems that must support to assist building of students preparation for college-level mathematics. The math CAI System, MACAI should be able to keep track of the process of solving problems, have the exact interpretation for math symbols and so forth. We describe the development of MACAI "MEIKAI" system which satisfies our three basics such as math symbols must be alive, the study processes must be kept, and the curriculum organization must be free. This report discussed current math contents obtained from our questionnaire, new informational math, brief description of MACAI authoring and user systems, MACAI-CMI, and Machi Editor. The CMI Hub flows that we have established are called the Adaptive Search based on the Genetic Algorithm. The Algebraic Machi Editor keeps the data reliability and the best human interpretation for the Algebraic System MATHEMATICA. This work was supported in part by The Ministry of Education, Science and Culture under Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research No.06452383.
