Research Abstract |
This study aims to clarify the association between dietary habits and lifestyle and health among 17,000 Japanese dietitians aged 40 years or over registered to the Japanese Dietitians Association. We developed a self-administered questionnaire for lifestyle ans a semin-quantitative food frequency questionnaire for this study. Validation study for food frequency questionnaire based on 3-day dietary records and serum bio-markers is now underway. In addition, reproducibility study is also being conducted. On the basis of these questionnaire date and serum biomarkers, long-term follow-up study is ongoing and to elucidate the association between lifestyle and dietary habits and health among Japanese dietitians. Because information of high validity and reproducibility of dietary habits is expected from dietitians, this research will inevitably contribute to the evaluation of the association between lifestyle and dietary habits and health.
