Research Abstract

The main results of this research are as follows :
1.Each of schools, I researched, control pupils' choice through built-in strategies.
These strategies have effects on pupils' motivation to learn the contents in subject-choice class,
2.But some pupils adjust to these systems by implicit ways. The types of their implicit adjustments are distinguished into functional and dysfunctional behavior to schools. Especially, The latter type tends to be taken for granted by teachers.
3.So, I conclude, on the one hand the pupils' adjustment to subject-choice system is controled by curriculum guidances, on the other hand it constructs it's proper meanings and definitions of situations in class.
4.The merits of social control theories are to observe and explain the changes in implicit adjustments of learners from viewpoint of their relations. Therefore we can apply this framework to study not only pupils' behaviors in schools but also curriculum development.
