Research Abstract |
We intended to investigated in the followings : 1) Identification of flaws : We develop a technique for inverse numerical analysis making use of the time-domain Boundary Elenment Method, which may enable us to detect a flaw in a 3-D body using only several data measured on the surface points. 2) High-precision digital data acquisition system for ultrasonic surface motions : Making use of a laser-Doppler vibrometer and a digital oscilloscope, we set up a high-precision data acquisition system. 3) Inverse analysis using data of wave motions observed in a model surface containing a slit : Using the above-mentioned system we collected scattered wave motion data at several points on the surface of a model having a flaw induced by incident waves of several directions. 4) Evaluation of deterioration of materials : Data obtained using the above-mentioned system are supplied to investigate in several important characteristics as specter, damping, phase and to evaluate the deterioratio of materials. 5) To these objects the followings are results : 1) Almost achieved. 2) Completed. 3) Partly-done, in progress. 4) In preparation.
