Research Abstract

We analyzed the fire damage by using fire data of Kobe city. We aimed to examine about the prevention measure of expansion of the fire damage at the first time. But the 1995 Kobe earthquake occurred by the end of a research period. Thereupon, we insert and study in a consideration even fires at the time of an earthquake not only fires at the time of usual.
First of all, we grasped about occurrence pattern of fatalities from fire data for the past 11 years when that are usual. And, we discussed about the need of the concrete measures. For instance, it is related to the architecture target, the fire fighting target and the behavior pattern of human.
Next, it became clear that an organization of fire fighting power at the time of an earthquake is indefinite. Then we carried out the proposal to standard of the fire fighting plan and also fire fighting power at the time of an earthquake.
Finally, we studied about the need of disaster prevention education. And, we mentioned about the activity plan.
