Research Abstract |
Under the research projects proposed, some experiments were carried out and the following results were obtained. 1. Kinetics and thermodynamincs for the complexation reaction of Sn (II) and Sn (IV) with morin have been studied fluorometrically to design a differential analysis of tins. Under the selected conditions, Sn (IV) up to 1*10^<-5> M could be selectively determined with a detection limit of 2*10^<-7> M. 2. Comp lexation reactions of antiomy with 3-hydroxy-7-methoxyflavone and tin with morin have been studied to design flow-injection analysis of these metal ions, and conditions for the fluorometric determination of Sb (III), Sb (V), Sn (II), and Sn (IV) were established. 3. Oxidation reaction of Sb (III)-3-hydroxy-7-methoxyflavone complex with Cr (VI) has been studied fluorometrically to design a sensitive analysis of Cr (VI). Under the selected conditions, Cr (VI) up to 3.2*10^<-6> M could be determined with a detection limit of 2*10^<-7> M.The presence of a 1400-fold amount (by molarity) of Cr (III) could be tolerated in the determination of 2*10^<-7> M of Cr (VI). 4. Kinetics of the complexation reaction of Zr (IV) and Hf (IV) with SXO have been studied to estimate the gamma parameters for both metal ions. With the same parameter, some possibilities to design a new kinetic-catalytic method of analysis based on ligand-substitution reactions involving Zr (IV) were proposed. 5. Kinetics of the ligand-substitution reaction of Hg (II)-PAR complex with CDTA have been studied to design a new sensitive and selective determination of a catalyst. Under the selected conditions, sulfite up to 1.5*10^<-6> M and thiosulfate up to 7*10^<-7> M could be determined with a detection limit of 3*10^<-8> M and 2*10^<-8> M in the presence of 10000-fold and 25000-fold amounts (by molarity) of sulfate, respectively.
