Research Abstract |
(1) Articles were written by the head investigator and investigators and others, concerning theories or experimental lessons using calculators/graphing calculators in mathematics education from elementary school to university. (2) Fifty-three varieties of teaching plans for mathematics lessons from 7th grade to 12th grade were made. (3) Basic keystrokes and first steps of graphing, graphical solutions for some examination problems were made for Casio, Sharp, TI models. (4) Information exchanges were done with researchers and teachers in USA and in Australia concerning articles using graphing calculators. (5) Mathematics textbooks, examination in foreign countries were analyzed concerning calculators/graphing calculators. Some of the results were contained in the interim report titled "Mathematics Education using Calculators/Graphing Calculators : From Elementary School to University" (March 1995) and in the final report titled "Development of Teaching Methods using Graphing Calculators" (March 1996)
