Research Abstract |
We have some old GANGI Passways in Joetsu-shi, Niigata-ken. GANGI (special house -side shelter from heavy snow) are very important for a life of snow country in Japan. Also they have two significances of Envilonmental Arts Education and Regional Education. This study proved that we need to learn the GANGI Passways as the traditional, regional, and environmental teaching materials for students in school.
