Research Abstract

最終年度となる本年度は、昨年度行ったチカーナ文学における環境正義と環境アクティヴィズムの研究を踏まえて、シェリー・モラガやエレナ・マリア・ヴィラモンテスといったチカーナ作家たちの描く環境アクティヴィズム、宗教的シンボリズムの言説、そしてEl Theatro Campesino(農業労働者劇場)の研究をさらに発展させた。また、環境正義の視点からみる核/原爆文学研究をさらに進め、ジェラルド・ヴィゼナーやサイモン・J・オーティーズといった先住民作家の作品に関する核問題の研究を行なった。具体的には以下を実施した。
1.シェリー・モラガ、エレナ・マリア・ヴィラモンテスといったチカーナ作家とEl Theatro Campesino関連の資料・文献を調査、収集(インターネット、大学図書館使用)。
2.中・四国アメリカ文学会で、シェリー・モラガ作品における宗教的シンボリズムと環境アクティヴィズムについて発表。
3.American Literature Association学会で、ジェラルド・ヴィゼナー作品にみる核問題について発表。
4.Western Literature Association学会で、チカーナ作家と環境正義に関する論文を発表。
5.ASLE-J大会のラウンドテーブルで環境正義の視点からみた原爆文学問題について発表。
6.中・四国アメリカ学会のシンポジウムで、El Theatro Campesinoとチカーナ文学の関係について発表。
7.原爆文学研究会でジェラルド・ヴィゼナー作品における核問題について発表。
8.以上の学会発表に基づいて論文を執筆し、『文学と環境』、『原爆文学研究』といった学会誌や、Southwestern American Literatureといった海外のジャーナル等に投稿。
