Research Abstract |
Present study was carried out for genetical analysis on Vietnamise animal resources to compare those results in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Thailand, Philippin and China. 1. Surveying animals and sample numbers () are follow : Cattle (101) : Water Buffalo (102) : Goat (83) : Sheep (34) : Duck (219) : Native chicken (81) : Musk shrew (28) : Mouse (1) 2. Results 1) Effects of improved breeds on native animals in Vietnam. Numbers of pure native cattle (Vietnam Yellow) was rapidly decresed in all areas surveyed. And numbers of crossbreds with Sindy or Ongole were increased. Pure native goat raised only in the mountain areas, and improved breed was raised instead of native breeds in the flat areas. Small type of game chicken was very rare and we recongnized less than 15 chickens during our survey. Mouse was not found in south Vietnam at all. 2) Morphological and electrophoretic loci and blood groups (from a part of results). In electrophoretic analysis of native chicken, five loci, Akp, Akp-2, Tf, Pa and Es, were polymorphic, though other four loci were monomorphic. In blood groups, the B sytem were very polymorphic as same as the chickens which we investegated in other Asian countries. Vietnamise goats have high frequencies of TfB and C genes, and they may belong to a type of Indian goats. TfC and HbA genes of Vietnamise sheep were high in their frequency.
