| Research Abstract |
We have investigated the economic friction between the U.S.and Japan through International Symposia on the supporting of technology transfer in the Pacific Rim through inter-country economic relations and development.
The items derived are as follows :
1) Quantitative Prescriptions for the U.S.-Japan Economic Friction
(1) Hollowing-out (Hollowization) problems (establishment of 'off-shore' industries)
(2) How will the world economy be affected by the economic friction between the advantage of the U.S.in the highly information-oriented economy, e.g.having new architecture in which the virtual reality-like concepts will be built-in and that of Japan in productivity of the main modern industries such as motor industry, micro-electronics, etc.
(3) Elucidation of, and the derivation of prescriptions for the Japan-U.S.trade friction using an international dynamic input-output programming model
2) Fine Development of the International Input-Output Table
