Research Abstract |
Study of nuclear structure including strange barypon is one of frontier fields in nuclear physics. Hypernuclear physic has been done by hadron beams utilizing such as (K,pi), (pi, K) and stopped K reactions. There are no data for electro hypernuclear production yet. We had submitted "High Resolution 1p Shell Hypernuclear Spectroscopy" to CEBAF as a international collaboration proposal. Twenty four days machine times were approved. However a high resolution spectrometer in hall A has limit of minimum angle of 12.5゚. The experiment is designed so as to be run in hall A with two high resolution spectrometers. To allow experiments using scattering angles smaller than the minimum angle of 12.5゚ we use two septum magnets. The target is moved upstream and horizontal septum magnets are inserted before the first element of the spectrometer. We have studied septum magnet through the current year.
