Research Abstract

本研究は、我々が世界に先駆けて行ってきた金属酸化物半導体電極および半導体微粒子の光(電気)化学反応を用いて、光エネルギー、特に太陽エネルギーと水からエクセルギー源としての水素および酸素を高効率生成させようとしたものであり、目的の第1として、これまで我々が無機半導体において培ってきた物理的・化学的特性を有効に利用し、さらに無機物質にない特性を光応答性有機(金属)分子を取り入れハイブリッドさせ、光触媒としての相乗効果を利用することにより、実用可能な新しい水素・酸素生成光触媒を構築することができた。さらに、国内外の研究者が行っている新しい触媒担持方法も踏まえた上で、最終的には新規なハイブリッド光触媒を用いてより実用に側した低コスト高効率水素・酸素生成システムの構築に主眼をおいて研究を遂行してきた。
本年度は、高効率な無機・有機ハイブリッド光触媒を創成するために、無機物・有機物に対して個別に水素・酸素の効率的生成を行う分子を設計・合成し、その光化学的・電気化学的特性を詳細に研究した。具体的な成果は、以下に記す。
1.新規な表面修飾無機半導体の合成と光化学・電気化学的特性評価
2.無機半導体超微粒子の精密な粒径制御と光触媒特性の解明
3.光応答性有機(金属)超薄膜の作成とその微小領域における物性の解明
4.半導体薄膜および積層膜の簡便な作成方法の開発
