Research Abstract |
The aim of this project is to explore experimentally and find main factors or elements contributed to adaptive change in visually transposed world (inverted vision). More general speaking, this problem may concern with the problem of structuring (formation) and restructuring (reformation) of spatial frame-work. In this project we had focused on and picked up several basic factors or elements. They were (1)intersensory (especially visuo-proprioceptive) relationship, (2)sensory-motor coordination, (3)spatio-positional constancy and subjective stability or reality of the external visual world, (4)change of body-representation (body-image) in relative to visuo-spatial localization, and (5)cognitive map of perceived external in relative to perceivers own position. These factors or elements work as the important intervening key factors to facilitate perceptual adaptation. It should be pointed out that these factors deeply concern with the differentiation of ego-centric versus exo-centric perceptual frame-work.
