Research Abstract |
1.Collected conservation plans of 99 designated historic towns in China as a base for future discussions. 2.Classified these 99 historic towns according to their features historical, historic resources background, etc. and reviewed typological planning schemes based on above mentioned classification. 3.Reviewed methods of urban conservation in Japan and other developed countries and discussed its applicability to China. 4.Proposed planning method to apply Chinese historic Towns based upon their category.
