| Research Abstract |
This research project is aiming to make a complete data base software which covering form and sound information of approximately 10000 Chinese Characters in Shuowen Jiezi.
We use three Shuowen Jiezi texts as follows,
1. One character in one line Text (Itten Ichigyo Bon)
This is the basic text of our software windows and all information of other two texts are linked through each Chinese character of Shuowen Jiezi.
2. Annotated Text by Duan Yucai (Dan Chu Bon)
3. Phonological Text by Jiang Yuan (On In Hyo)
The main window constitution of this software is as follows,
1. code number box
2. Chinese character form information box
3. Chinese character sound information box
4. search box
We already entered all code numbers for three texts related above and published Code Book for Shuowen Jiezi Data Base. This code book has three volumes ; Vol.1 Basic Text Code Book, Vol.2 Annotated Text Code Book, Vol.3 Phonological Text Code Book. Using this code book and data base we can do general research on Chinese character and various results are expected.
