Research Abstract |
We have developed a repeating high field pulsed magnet for neutron scattering experiment. We have adopted Ag-Cu alloy which has higher share strength with reasonable electric conductivity. We could succeed to operate it at 27T practically. This is the world record as a magnet for neutron scattering. By using the magnet we have performed a neutron scattering experiment on CsCuC13 to observe a magnetic structural phase transition due to quantum effect in a field.
