Research Abstract |
1. BASIC RESEARCH : (1) Experimental analysis of relationship between proto-oncogene and histocompatibility complex antigen gene expressions during brain tumor progression. (2) Natural resistance against tumors grafted into the brain in association with histocompatibility-class-I-antigen expression. (3) Role of nitric oxide and tumor necrosis factor-alpha produced by activated macrophages in cytotoxic activity on malignant glioma cells. (4) Effects of nitric oxide and tumor necrosis factor-alpha on electrophysiological action in cultured neuronal cell line. 2. CLINICAL RESEARCH : (1) Clinical significance of intraoperative monitoring method with endoscopy and Doppler ultrasound techniques for stereotactic surgery and microsurgery. (2) Pharmacokinetic study on concentration of anti-cancer agents in intracranical tumor cavity after intravenous or intraarterial injection in patients with malignant brain tumors. (3) Clinical significance of SPECT in differentiating diagnosis and evaluating predicting prognosis of a variety of brain neoplasms.
