Research Abstract |
An integrated system, which consists of a real-time identification system of damage, a prediction system of damage extension and residual strength and an active control system of damage extension and deformation, was studied for composite laminate aircraft structures subjected to impact and fatigue loadings. 1.Real-time identification system of damage By means of a system identification technique and an optimization technique based on a mathematical programming method, we constructed a real-time identification system of damage, location of external loads and load history. 2.Prediction system of damage extension and residual strength The damage extension and residual strength were studied for CFRP composite laminate structures, and the prediction system was completed. 3.Active control system of damage extension and deformation The active control system was made using piezoelectric ceramic actuators, and examined from theoretical and experimental points of view.
