Research Abstract |
For all kinds of welding joints with complex restrictions in real welded structures, stress measuring method X-ray can be applied to base metal, however, the accuracy can not be guaranteed when the X-ray method is applied to welding joints. That is, there is no a non-fracture measuring method with a satisfactory accuracy for the measurement of the welding residual stress distributing in real welded structures. So that in this research, the measuring technique of residual stress by using X-ray stress measuring method for the base metal was established firstly, and then an estimating method for residual stress in the whole welded structure based on the measurement of the residual stress at base metal was investigated. The results may be summarized as follows. 1) The X-ray stress measuring equipment was fit up with An incidence angle operator. So that the X-ray stress measuring equipment can be remote controlled, and the bodily injury inflicted by X-ray can be prevented completely. 2) The applicability of the X-ray stress measuring equipment to real structures was confirmed with measurements of residual stress for many kinds of welded structural models by using sin^2psi methods and phi-sin^2psi method both of which are the X-ray stress analysis method, and at the same time the data base for the estimation of the residual stress in a whole welded structure by numerical analysis method has been set up. 3) A method that estimating the restraint stress of structural members and the inherent strain of welded joints so that estimating the welding residual stresses for the whole structure was developed. Affectivity and applicability of the developed method was shown by its applications to some big experiment models.
