Research Abstract |
The aims of this research are the following : 1) To observe and investigate a teacher (in this case, a trainee)'s process of thinking, and to make it clear how he/she develops his/her thoughts on the basis of date necessary for the study of teaching materials, the grasp of the students' real states and the class design, 2) to construct the supporting system for planning the class by referring to the data about the students' real states, communication skills and teaching plans after gathering the data necessary for a teacher and registering them as data-base, and 3) to confirm a teacher's flexible and appropriate countermeasures toward the troubles caused by the students in class and his/her improvement of practical teaching abilities provided that the teacher is in the circumstance where he/she is supported to think at the stage of class design. We have collected the trainees' teaching plans for the final classes since 1990 and have registered them in the optical filing device, from whi

ch the trainees can get the teaching plans necessary for them. In 1994, we sent out questionnaires on this kind of service to the trainees and made it clear what effect this copying service has in their class design and what problems there are in the service. According to this survey, it turned out that what the trainees need most was that they could refer to the teaching plans necessary for them anytime during the practice teaching period. Thus we inputted the trainees' 200 teaching plans which were registered in the server of the network, so that they were able to refer to and make use of the teaching plans they needed. Furthermore we started Web-server, in which Homepage on communication skills was opened and cumulative guidance records were inputted from kindergarten to senior high school. Inputting and registering in the server the teaching plans useful for class design, communication skills, cumulative guidance records, and the reports concerning the practical study of education, we have aimed at gaining access to the server from the schools attached to our university during the practice teaching period.
