| Research Abstract |
1. Contents of the Catalog data were examined by musicologists, since there are some problems in the data. For example, because of managing defferent languages, it was difficult to symbolize the name of a musical instrument and to code in the computer.
2. We discussed the way of opening the database on the internet. After 1's work, we are planning to permit anyone to read with password.
3. We were cnstructed the data into a CD-ROM in order to access easily used local personal computer such as Mac and Windows computer.
4. "Syakuhati Database" on the Internet server were examined.
5. We published those results in the Information Processing Society of Japan, and made presentations in the symposium of the Musicological Society of Japan.
6. Studies of Relational database system were tried for high level query. A search of a synonym were made by SQL.Further, we are constructing the web interface used JAVA between Internet and SQL server for easy access.
